twenty two

i am twenty two years old today.
past the era of milestone birthdays.
officially slumped into the "twenty-something" category.
okay.

i am home this week. it's been nice to get away and have a vacation of sorts after a rather intense semester. it's not quite over so i have a lot of schoolwork to do while i'm here, but i don't really mind. i would probably spend a lot of time doing nothing if i wasn't doing schoolwork. i don't really miss being at school, but i'm finding that i do miss my friends. there are certain people who have become my family and it's weird not seeing them every day.

side thought - "my room" is no more. however there is a new cute little guest room where i am staying and it has brought me to the conclusion that i really love having my own room. i consider myself a pretty neutral roommate. i can co-exist with pretty much anyone. and while i hate living completely alone (it gets waaaaay too lonely), i've found that life is so much easier when i have my own room. i need my own little private space.

i'm really hoping that next year i can live off campus...and not have to share a bedroom...but still have roommates. we shall see.

twenty two...
that's halfway to forty four...dang.

madre and i got pedicures today. i now have very happy feet.

Happy Birthday!! You still get the student discount! :) I, on the other hand, am slumped right in between the student discount and senior discount.

OMG, you sounded JUST like your mom when you said "dang"!

I'll be honest. The second half of my 20's was much better than the first half. Not that the first half was bad, but on a really basic level I was still finding myself and what God's plan for me was. You are probably more mature than I was then so..... :-)

I hope you had a happy day Emma, and that you know how much you are loved. You are a beautiful woman, inside and out, and our family is blessed by knowing you.
