myfriendchristopher called me sometime before small group to express his stress about his beginning piano class and all it did was remind me of how stressed out i was with trying to be everywhere and get people places all day long. we all arrived at katie's house feeling very tense and overwhelmed and really in need of some refocusing.

jessica, christopher, jonathan and i are going to jonathan's home in delaware this weekend...and i'm driving. normally i would be fine with this, but i've had a bit of driving drama in the past couple months and driving has been making me more and more nervous. that, plus the fact that i've never driven to delaware, plus the fact that there will be 3 other people in the car (1 of which is very ADD, especially when it comes to controlling the ipod...), i have a lot of anxiety about that aspect of the trip. on top of that, there's been a lot of unspoken drama between this group and i have been worried that the four of us would turn into two pairs and become very exclusive with each other.

during small group we bascially just spent some time praying for each other and refocusing our thoughts away from all our stresses and back to God. i love praying with people, especially people i care about. that scripture definitely holds true that when two or more are gathered He is there. together we draw closer to God and closer to each other - reminded once again that as brothers and sisters in Christ, our LU family is also our spiritual family. i love these people! i love what God is doing in their lives and i love what He is teaching me through them.

needless to say, when we left we all felt a lot better. the day ended on a high note with lots of loud laughter and encouragement and i am so thankful for that!

Praise the Lord! So glad the day ended on a high note. I have always wanted to visit DE! Did you know they were the very first state?
