unforced rhythms of grace

are you tired?
worn out?
burned out on religion?

come to me.

get away with me and you'll recover your life.
i'll show you how to take a real rest.

walk with me.
work with me.
watch how i do it.

learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
i won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
keep company with me and you'll learn how to live freely and lightly.

-matthew 11:28-30 msg

sometimes i think too much. and sometimes i don't think enough. i've got too much to think about and i don't know how to take it. even thought i'm thankful for the upcoming summer break simply for just a change of scenery, i still have a lot to think about in preparation for it.

next weekend i leave for the coast of maryland where i will spend a few days at my friend's friend's lakehouse. a chance to just BE. and maybe figure out what "unforced rhythms of grace" means...

What a wonderful opportunity Emma! Praying it will be all that your soul needs.

(and then hurry home ~ your madre needs more estrogen in the house!)

"learn the unforced rhythms of grace"

love that phrase and that passage as a whole, but that phrase definitely stands out in this interpretation.
