vacation

Was it MY idea to take a vacation in the middle of May???

Remind me to not do this again! I'm very excited, but my absence is coming at a very inopportune time with everything else going on in my life right now. But then again, maybe that makes it a good time...maybe i need a break from the crazy...

i am currently listening to Audrey Assad's new album and loving it. $7.99 well spent!

last night at rehearsal a friend of mine came to rehearse her offertory piece for Sunday. it blew my mind! it was SO beautiful! she and her friend both played the piano and sang an original arrangement of one of my favorite songs. it touched my heart so deeply and i did not want it to end! SO thankful i had the chance to hear it as i'll be out of town this Sunday. 

i also rehearsed with my quartet group for the last time before i leave - we sing RIGHT AFTER i get back. i love singing with those ladies! it is a very eclectic group of vocalists from all different generations and walks of life but we all have a deep love of worship and when we sing together it is magic. plus i love Love LOVE acapella and the challenge it brings...so there you go :) so bummed one of our members is going away to college this fall :(

agenda for today:

- go to library and see if i can find any good books on tape for our trip

- meet up with TravelBuddy to grocery shop and practice setting up our tent
- meet Ross for lunch???

- church for various worship admin tasks and 6 piano lessons
- buy Ross' bday gift
- stop at bank to deposit checks!!! - DON'T FORGET!!!
- home to PACK!

- make sure my ipod is updated with all necessary road trip listening materials.
