The Sagittarius is really a centaur -- the lower half is horse, the upper half is a man. The man is holding a bow with an arrow aimed upwards toward the sky. In other words, Sagittarius is hunting for ideas and experiences that draw you into greater awareness. Some of this is true of me, and some of it's not. Probably anyone could find a way to think it fit their personality so I don't really put much weight in it.
