Adventure in GR

Went to a funeral for an extended relative today in GR. Wasn't at all close to this person, but went to support my grandma. Got up way too early and drove in with madre and the girls, dropped the girls at a friends house and then headed to the church. P&K were in town (coincidentally for another funeral) so they joined us.

I forgot how long reformed church funerals are :/ made the mistake/best decision of sitting next to P who cracked jokes and was thoroughly entertaining the whole time, and who appreciated it when I painfully observed the church pastor attempting to lead the singing. [this is why worship leaders exist.]

after the service we went downstairs to the lunch where every single relative (we haven't seen any of these people since dad's memorial service) immediately recognized P since he's dad's clone. They quickly figured out that K was with P but then looked at me and said, "now who are you?" Every.single.one. I guess I can't blame them since I don't really keep in touch :)

Finally made it out and had dinner with R at the Twisted Rooster (tho R went to the Crooked Goose accidentally). Was a great time hanging out sans children. Plus there was campfire cheesecake :) said out goodbyes and then picked up the kiddos (another hour) then drove home.

Fun day. Long. Over stimulating a bit for me so I'm now enjoying the solitude of my quiet room. Goodnight!
