confession

just read this book in less than a day...started it last night...read all morning and finished after lunch. super super good. annnnnd there's a movie coming out this spring. sweeeet.

that makes for two novels and half of a nonfiction book for my christmas break. not too shabby for me!. i love reading novels. love.love.love. the problem is...i'm super picky about what i read. i want to be sure i'm going to really love it before i start. so sometimes...well...most times...i read the last page first.

i know.
i'm terrible.

especially with some authors who have a reputation for not.so.happy endings...i just want to have an idea of what's coming...it's not like i read the whole last chapter...or read the book from back to front. i just skim the last page or so looking for a glimmer of hope that everything is going to turn out alright in the end. i guess i just have a problem with not.knowing.what's.next...

i actually have that problem with most things in life...

but whatever. judge if you wish. you will not convince me to change my ways.

sidenote: someone once told me that reading novels is a great way to ease anxiety and relax. it's an escape of sorts. my problem is that i've never been able to do novels during school because i'm too overloaded with other work and responsibility and therefore stressed and anxious...maybe i'll try the novel thing this semester...
