my friend kirstyn's dad (phil) has less than 48 hours to live. soon she and her mom (koral) and her siblings will enter into a new chapter in life. they will say goodbye to someone who is a part of them and begin a journey of discovering a new "normal". they will have lots of support from their church family and they will hold on to their Father's hand, but they will still feel empty and lost and confused. they will still hurt more than they ever imagined possible.
thinking about them and praying for them takes me back...
and my heart is heavy.
